A corporate PR video appropriated by the artist from Coca Cola Company headquarters in Atlanta was broken down into audio and video components and then replayed as a live performance work.
Working with the multimedia programmer and musician Wojciech Kosma, a laptop-based 'instrument' was created which played and projected audio and video clips, sequences, rhythms and stills taken from the corporate video. Although Coca-Cola's house style of advertising sells a resolutely 'global village' message the company is also famous for controversies around its environmental and business practices. The artist selected momentary sequences from the original material which seemed to point to these controversies, such as gunshots, a woman's face in pain, various scenes of nomadic tribes, poverty and Arab urban scenes and these formed part of the rhythmic pattern of the work.
